The Easter Wedding of Jennifer and Ben
Ben first contacted me for help with planning their wedding after their 1st wedding had to be cancelled. Both Ben and Jennifer are in the Navy and have little time together and even less time to start planning another wedding. Jennifer was obviously very upset the wedding had to be postponed and had lost all motivation so gave Ben the job of planning the wedding. Following a desperate call from Ben who had no idea where to start, we took on the plans from scratch which was to get them the location they have always wanted to marry, Tregenna Castle.
The previous suppliers were all cancelled with the exception of the DJ/Casino from Kernow Groove as I had to work with a new budget. Within 2 weeks we had not only secured the venue under budget but had all the suppliers confirmed. Jen started to become more excited following our meetings and long talks and we gave her the confidence back that we were on hand and would ensure there was no stress for her with being away a huge amount of time up to the wedding.
As the wedding was booked for Good Friday, Jen wanted to have Easter eggs and said to me that “Cadbury’s Cream Eggs’ would be nice. We don’t do nice at weddings we want spectacular weddings, so I said to Jen that I would provide her with eggs but these would be the highest quality possible within the budget. Following a discussion with Nicky Grant, Award winning wedding cake designer, patissiere and chocolatier in Cornwall. We arrange for the 84 guests to have mini eggs as favours with little name cards hand written which saved money with have a names favour. The eggs were white and milk chocolate with raspberries blended through as the wedding colours were pink and Navy blue. These were a perfect match and yummy too. Nicky also made the wedding cake.
The wedding was a truly spectacular day with laughter & tears of joy.
Ben decided he wanted a top hat and cane and he looked fantastic with a very smart best man and group of ushers. They had a fantastic time on the photo shoot with Khalile Siddiqui in St Ives before the wedding. The one thing you must always ensure is that you feel comfortable with your photographer so they can capture those perfect moments. Joel from Dove films was also onsite as the videographer, come back soon to see the video highlights from the wedding.
It’s always nice to get praise for our weddings, We plan weddings to ensure you get the perfect day.
