Kaisi contacted me after Pentillie Castle recommended me to her following a previous wedding I had done full planning for. Living overseas and spending 90% of her time sailing the ocean, Kaisi needed the full wedding planning support 24/7. Time differences meant that we had to have late night lengthy calls to go through things in detail, however, Perfect Preparation offer a 24hr service for clients to fit around you.
Kaisi had booked the venue from pictures online and so didn’t see the venue until the week of her wedding. A Tipi from World Inspired Tents was also booked as they wanted the wedding to have a more informal feel and it was my job to ensure the venue and Tipi worked together.
The ceremony too place at Egloshayle Church, Wadebridge and the journey to and from the ceremony was going to be a long journey for guests. To ensure the comfort of guests I ordered a drinks station from Inspire Hire and even the Reverend enjoyed a glass of homemade lemonade.
Back at the marquee stunning flowers from Philip Taylor Corps dressed 4000-year-old pieces of driftwood on the tables and seafood BBQ awaited guests cooked by the Dartmoor Inn. A caricaturist and live Jazz music entertained the high profile guest list into the early hours before private transfers too guests back to their accommodation.
Photos taken by Khalile Siddiqui captured the stunning, intimate yet informal wedding.
“Sarah’s professional and personable and above all friendly manner was a key factor. Sarah not only listened to us, but instantly understood the concept and what now wanted the day to be/feel. Sarah was a me to advise and guide us. We felt very comfortable working with Sarah and we built up a huge amount of trust. Most important we wanted to work with someone who was open, honest and transparent right from the start. We were both anxious about how the wedding would turn out and we were thrilled with everything. Sarah had to cope with lastminute changes and some challenging situations with a bride thousands of miles away and at no pint did she ever make it seeming anything was a problem for her. I can honestly say I feel quite sad that my involvement with Sarah had to end formerly after the success of the wedding, but feel I have made a valuable friendship. Thank you for your tireless work and commitment. Kaisi”
“Sarah & her team went above & beyond the brief & expectations we had. Communication was key due to being not just overseas but working an extremely difficult & demanding schedule but with an awkward time difference made things doubly tricky, however Sarah was always accessible.”
