The wedding of Marc and Claire from Chelmsford took place at Trevenna Barns, St Neot. My involvement with Marc and Claire started on February 20th when I was asked to view a venue that Claire had already chosen for her wedding. Living in Chelmsford and with 3 young children Claire simply did not have time to spend planning a wedding in Cornwall so asked me to provide a full wedding planning service, however they had already booked a venue after a rapid visit to Cornwall.
Claire already had her ‘dream wedding’ in mind which she shared with me from the few pictures she emailed me. Below is what she wanted re-creating.
The wedding depicted had a massive budget so it was going to be hard work to recreate within Marc and Claire’s budget but Perfect Preparation is always up for a challenge! Following my visit to the already chosen location I gave Claire the bad news her chosen venue simply would not work for her dream. The good news was that I knew a venue that would fit perfectly. I called the venue but Marc and Claires date was unfortunately not available. Putting their trust in me, Marc and Claire decided to book my suggested venue for another date so that I could create what they really wanted.
Perfect Preparation was given the total budget and creative control and the 19th May 2012 was confirmed as their wedding date. This gave me just ten weeks to create their dream wedding day at a venue the bride and groom would not actually see until the day before their wedding. Following a visit to them in Chelmsford to discuss every aspect of the wedding, plans started and the main elements for the event were secured within 2 weeks. Finer details followed. Most of Claire’s ideas were American and needed to sourced. Florist Phillip Taylor Corps was booked for his amazing creativity in flower design, some of the pictures shown illustrate the spectacular arrangements on the day.Pictures by Paul Keppel Photography.
The day went like a dream and the weather was spectacular – even though rain had been forcast. Claire’s dream of flowers and fairy lights in an outdoor location were turned into reality: her rose petal aisle and vows under a rose arch came true. The Italian groom had asked for ice cold Limonchello in decanters and good food, his dream came true too. It was a great day and the Bride and Groom were delighted with every aspect of their wedding.
It’s be a truly great experience to work with such a wonderful couple and I wish them every happiness for the future. Pictures by Paul Keppel Photography for Marc and Claire.
To Sarah We just wanted to say a big thank you to you! You have been so amazing from the first day I called you to the day of our wedding. You have been there 24/7 anytime we needed you. We couldn’t of had this wedding without all your hard work. Thanks for making out wedding so perfect.
Lots of Love Claire & Marc x x
