Rustic theme

Whilst planning a wedding for a couple next year, they had one request for the wedding style ‘Rustic’. Keeping things simple, rustic yet elegant. Cornwall has so much to offer yet there is a little gap in the market when it comes to table and chair hire. Standard tables are great when you want to dress them with linen, however when you want the bare bones of the wooden table, searching for them can take some time.

I found a great company that started their business due to the same issues of not being able to find the rustic, country-style items they wanted. Ginny & Greg noticed the gap in the market whilst planning their rustic, country-style wedding. They couldn’t find the right style of vintage furniture they had in mind for their special day, despite searching everywhere and attending wedding fairs. And then, a spontaneous purchase of 300 job lot old chairs immediately solved their problem but launched them into something quite exciting.

After a little TLC, but retaining their rustic feel, the chairs were ready for their wedding day. But they didn’t need all 300 chairs so they popped the extras up for sale online. The response they received was overwhelming, and rather than selling all of the chairs off, they came up with idea of starting a hire company. The range of items they now stock has grown, even the new vintage vespas which are featured in WED Magazine, the suppliers are also not just couples hiring but photo shoots, festivals, feature films, TV events, pop-up restaurants, corporate events and more!

Some of my favourite items are the Gigantes Tables, dressed with a stunning hessian runner and garden flowers would give it a lovely rustic wedding look. (We will be posting pictures from next May’s wedding as this is what our couple will be using for their vintage wedding).

The Portland Trunk, great for those wedding presents and cards to be stored safely.

And the Chitting tray’s, great filled with flowers to decorate an outdoor ceremony
